Thanks to some stupid dumbass bitch who can't put her phone down while driving. I swear, if my old Tipo wasn't surprisingly stable for what it is (diamonds are softer than that car's ride), I would've either wound up squished between a Tiguan and a Hyundai i30, or flipped while trying to avoid the i30 careening towards me through 2 motherfucking lanes. Now, I know this sounds like a rant, but there's no way the aforementioned stupid bitch reads Oppo, I actually want to remind you guys of something you probably don't need to be reminded, but it never hurts anyways: Be safe out there, there are obscenely oblivious people on the road these days, and we gotta watch out for both us and them. Have a Gran Torino

I cannot honestly count how many times I've seen a car driving like crap, only to pull up next to it and seeing the person on their phone.

Same here. Most people have the "common sense" to only pull it out at stoplights, but then you have to wait until they decide to look up and see the light turned green. I'm going to wear out my car's horn if this doesn't change, because I've taken to honking, a lot.

I was almost he middle of an 8 car one the other day! 6 cars ahead of me.. one slammed the brakes. The next didnt stop. Or the next, or then next...etc. I was next. I stopped inches from the sentras bumper ahead. Thank god I was in the 2013 civic. I still locked though and smelt the brakes. Even scarier was the F-150 behind me that didnt look like they were going to stop and nearly hit me which wouldve sent me into the Nissan!

If I was in the volvo, I wouldve hit them, no doubt. The f150 wouldve got me also since the volvo is a wagon and therefore longer.

the roads are scary

Are you the last person left with a Tipo? I haven't seen one in many years.

sounds like my commute home yesterday. There was this woman on the phone having a very animated discussion, and at every stop light, she would not notice till the last second. I would just stop way in advance so if she noticed too late I would have somewhere to go.

Thus is why I don't use my phone while driving. Well that and no one texts me regardless. and Oppo is too hard to read while driving as well.

I saw a chick yesterday driving in Chicago with her iPhone covering the gauge cluster, WATCHING A TV SHOW.

My near accident was in a busy avenue downtown. Two lanes, I was in the left one, this woman speeds from my right rear quarter and plows through a small right bend, where I'd have been if I hadn't managed to clear the guardrails and sidewalks to my left and go into the bus lane. That's when she hit the two cars in front of me.
